Love the Kettlebells

I was honored to have the opportunity to be a student under and train with a warrior.  During our kettlebell course Coach Greg Amundson, quotes Heraclitus-

“Out of every one hundred men, ten shouldn't even be there, eighty are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back.” 

We at CrossFit Silicon Valley thank all the participants and especially Coach Greg for making this an amazing learning experience.  We recommend the CrossFit Kettlebell Trainer Course as one will get more than expected after completion. 

Kettlebell training will seriously supplement and improve your game!  This is phenomenal pre 2012 CrossFit Open training as we should taper off a bit.  Coach Larry feels the kettlebells help reinforce optimal shoulder positions and strengthen the posterior chain.

Last couple weeks, we braved the clean and jerk cycle. This week- it is KETTLEBELL LOVE!  Ring my bell...

  • 10 Kettlebell Swing (American)s
  • 10 Kettlebell Power Swings
  • 10 Kettlebell Swing (Russian)s

  • 10 One Arm Alternating Kettlebell Swings - Alternating half rotation switches
  • 10 Kettlebell H2H Swings - single hand release, hand to hand switches 

Post total time.

Entree: "Kettlebell Linda" (30 Minute time limit)

10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 reps of:

  • Deadlifts #1.5 BW lbs

  • Kettlebell Floor Presses (Heavy KBs)

  • Double Kettlebell Cleans (Weight Appropriate for skill)
