CrossFit Level 1 Certification
I started CrossFit in 2011 at Silicon Valley’s first location. Prior to that I had never touched a barbell or done any weight training. I was quite overweight when I started, so learning all these new movements was overwhelming at times. This mental and physical grind strangely brought me enjoyment, and I think most people who experience it would agree. I eventually followed one of my best friends when he decided to open his own gym. I got certified and coached CrossFit classes for four years. My friend eventually decided to move away and closed down his gym. From there I found a new gym and started exclusively Olympic Lifting. I’ve been weightlifting for the past two years. Every now and then I’ll do a CrossFit workout, but these days I get more enjoyment out of focusing on weightlifting. My main goal is to help people better their technique with the lifts, so they can transition into their workouts. I’ve always enjoyed the feeling of watching people progress and accomplish things they once couldn’t. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
