It’s the beginning of a new week. So many possibilities lie before each of us.
As we step forward today I’d like you to think about the path you’re on. The path that I’m referring to is your journey in fitness and health.
it’s easy to see the place you’re “in” right now, and it’s easy to look back at what was, but where it gets muddled is the what’s in front of us. The demands of work, family, friends and other countless distractions and obligations.
it’s often hard to think of ourselves, to take care of ourselves.
Whenever I travel and they do the “safety presentation” on the plane, I’m always drawn to the oxygen mask portion. They tell you to secure your mask first, before helping others. The reason is because we need to make sure we’re taken care of so that we can take care of others. Think about that metaphor for life.
Michaela, Judd and I, and the coaches all do that daily. We put on our masks so that we can help others. You have to do the same in every aspect of your health. You stepped on the path, you build the road ahead…we will help you craft the tools and skill set to stay on it.
