The Single Element

There were a couple single element WODs in the open.  The one I liked in particular was 12.5. This training is quite taxing as there is no transitions to fresh muscle groups.  It iwill be fun to add more of this type of WOD into our programming.


Today's WOD menu: Please be sure you are signed-in before attending class:

Apéritif: 3 Rounds From the Ground- 1 X Heavy Squat Clean to 3 X Split Jerk (1-3, 1-3, 1-3)

Entrée: "Meistersinger"

Proceed through the sequence below completing as many reps as possible in 12 minutes of:

  • 20 Overhead Squat (M 95 / F 45 lbs) 
  • 20 Overhead Squat (M 115 / F 55 lbs) 
  • 20 Overhead Squat (M 135 / F 75 lbs) 
  • 20 Overhead Squat (M 155 / F 95 lbs)
  • Max Rep Overhead Squat (M 175 / F 115 lbs)

This workout begins from the standing position with the barbell loaded to the starting weight. The barbell goes directly from the ground to overhead squat position. 

Score is total reps.
