"I started at Crossfit Silicon Valley (x-body fitness) the last week of January 2009. Being a really out of shape and overweight 38 year old, I was looking for something that would keep me interested and motivated. Something that was out of the norm, to avoid boredom. Well, I found it.
From the moment I walked in, this place was different. A converted office building with only two mirrors. Most gyms have tons of cardio machines. This place had tractor tires, kettle bells, a bunch of pull up bars, a 10 foot long piece of abs pipe, medicine balls?
I met Judd, he put me right at ease and explained how the crossfit method was so different. How it constantly changes to both avoid boredom and to give you total body fitness. He suggested easing into the program, which I did at first. But soon I was totally hooked and increased my workout days, something I thought I would never do.
So 5 full months later and I've dropped 22 pounds of body fat. I've increased both my overall strength and stamina by leaps and bounds, and overall I'm just a happier person. Finding this place (on yelp) was one of the best things I've done. The coaches are all great and each one of them brings something to the table.
